You shipped five changes last month. Which one moved the answer?

Without a dated record, the budget conversation runs on memory. Impact Tracker puts every change you make on the same chart as your AI visibility, so you can see what moved after it.

01 How it works

How it works

  • Add a marker: what changed, the date, and a type (Content update, Technical fix, PR / campaign, External / algorithm or Other), with an optional page URL, tags and notes. You can also click the chart to pin a note to that day.
  • Tags narrow the read. A marker tagged to your pricing prompts is measured against those prompts only. Leave it untagged and it is measured against all of them.
  • Four lines by default: Share of Voice, Citation Coverage, Brand Mention Coverage and Sentiment.
  • Connect Google Analytics and you can add AI Sessions and AI Conversions to the chart.
  • Index to 100 starts every line at 100, so small and large metrics share one axis.
  • Switch between daily, weekly and monthly views.
  • Adding, editing or removing a marker doesn't use your analysis quota.
02 The change impact table

The change impact table

Under the chart, the change impact table compares the latest week with the week before each change, for every brand metric. With Google Analytics connected, it adds AI Sessions, AI Conversions and AI conversion rate.

A row reads Not measurable yet until a full week has passed. If another marker falls inside a change's week-before window, the table flags the overlap, because the movement can't be credited to either change alone.

The table's own caption says it shows change that coincided with each note, not proven cause. That honesty is the point: a dated record you can check is worth more than a claim you can't.

03 Who uses it

Who uses it

Brands

Bring the dates to the budget review: each change you shipped, beside the metrics that moved after it.

PR and comms

Mark the day coverage lands as PR / campaign, tag it to the prompts the campaign targeted, and compare the week before with what came after.

Agencies

Add a marker for each fix you ship for a client, and show the table in the monthly review.

Publishers

Mark an advertiser's campaign window and show what moved, without claiming the campaign caused it.

04 One change at a time

One change at a time

Ship one change, let its full week run, then ship the next. Stack two changes into the same week and their windows overlap, so neither can be credited alone. The table tells you when that happens.

FAQ

Questions about Impact Tracker.

Does adding a marker use my quota?

No. A marker is a note on the timeline, not another AI call.

What if I make two changes in the same week?

The table flags markers whose week-before windows overlap, because the movement can't be pinned on either change alone.

How long before I see a result?

A full week after the change date. Until then the row reads Not measurable yet. There is no partial-week estimate.

Do I need Google Analytics?

No. The chart, markers and change table work without it. Connecting Google Analytics adds AI Sessions, AI Conversions and AI conversion rate.

Does Impact Tracker prove a change caused the result?

No. It shows what moved around a change, not why. Treat every result as a lead worth checking.
